Ulla Barr was born in Göteborg, Sweden and immigrated to the United States in 1973. She received a B.A. in studio art from University of California, Irvine and an M.F.A. in photograph from California State University, Long Beach. Barr has exhibited at Southern California venues such Barnsdall Park Junior Art Center Gallery, BC Gallery, Cal State Long Beach University Art Museum, Cal State Long Beach University Art Museum, Fine Art Gallery at University of California, Irvine, Orange County Center for Contemporary Art, Cal State Long Beach University Art Museum, Huntington Beach Art Center, I-5 Gallery at The Brewery and the Orlando Museum of Art. She also participated in Feminism a World Power, at the Artemisia Gallery in Chicago during a national Women's Caucus for Art conference in [insert date]. An active member of WCA since 1998, Barr has served on the National Board as Regional Vice President for Southwest, Vice President for Chapter Relations, Chapter's Council Board Member and Committee Chair for the group that oversees the Networking, Matrix and Benefits. She has also served on Southern California chapter Board and is a member of their Eco-art Collective.
